The Donkey Stone Steps

I have posted one half of this photo montage before, showing the Crispin Arms, Birkett Bank with my good self, together with my mother, who is cleaning the steps to the pub's side entrance. This was in 1950. My parents had taken over the pub in January of that year. Little did I realise, until 70 years later, that the Ordnance Survey would then record the result for posterity also in 1950, by producing the second half of the photo which shows the self same steps after my mother had finished them, using the donkey stone.
